Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir,
Pinot Meunier
Origin: Champagne, France
Description: The yeasty, toast aromas of
classic French Champagne, the subtle fragrance
of peach and white flowers and a stream
of elegant bubbles. In the weird world of
Champagne, Brut means dry and Dry
means sweet. Go figure. La Française (the
French woman) is the name of this particular
blend.
Food pairing: Hard and aged cheeses, salty
and spicy foods, sushi and hard-to-pair foods
like artichokes, asparagus and egg dishes.
